Wal-Mart Stores Inc.
Triangle has constructed more than 30 projects for Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. These include several new Wal-Mart Supercenters and renovations, expansions and specialty projects at other Wal-Mart locations in Michigan, Ohio and Indiana. The stores combine a full-line of grocery and general merchandise departments under one roof.
The projects profiled below include a variety experience from the management of ground up new stores with extensive site development to replacement of parking and entry drives and interior remodels. Each project was completed on or ahead of schedule, maintaining Wal-Mart’s store standards and ongoing sales needs. The following is a partial list of our experience.
New Supercenters
These projects range from $8 to $13.2 million over a 12-month average duration. They involve 30-60 acres of site development, wetland mitigation, storm water retention, road work, 120,000–225,000 sq ft of building construction, general contracting services and sustainable building practices. Triangle has completed five of these facilities.
Expansions
These projects range from $6.8 to $9.3 million over a 10-month duration. They involve 10-30 acres of site development, storm water retention, 60,000 to 90,000 sq ft of build¬ing expansion, general contracting services, and sustainable building practices—all while maintaining 24-hour store operations and customer accessibility. Three projects of this type were completed.
Renovations
These projects range from $539,000 to $2 million over a two to four month duration. They involve complete interior building renovation including, new rest rooms, pharmacy, customer service, optical areas—all while maintaining 24-hour store operations and customer accessibility. Triangle has completed seven of these projects.
Specialty Projects
These projects range from $50,000 to $900,000 and involve site development, demolition, storm water retention, and surface parking areas. Triangle has constructed nine of these projects.
