Title:
President
Favorite quote:
“Success is not final; failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.” – Winston Churchill
“Winning is not a sometime thing; it’s an all the time thing. You don’t win once in a while; you don’t do things right once in a while; you do them right all of the time. Winning is a habit. Unfortunately, so is losing.” – Vince Lombardi
Describe what you do in a day:
Whatever needs to be done to further the mission and accomplish our goals. No task is too big or small to jump in and solve. People are our most important asset, and I spend much of my time listening to, coaching, and learning from for team members. Financial, operational, risk management, or administration, I will do what it takes to move it forward.
What is your proudest accomplishment?
Without a doubt, my proudest accomplishment is being married to my best friend for near 29 years, Joanne. In addition, I am very proud of raising two beautiful and successful daughters, Amanda and Kristin.
Professionally, I have been extremely proud of my ability to work with, motivate, and develop people around me in support of company and individual goals. Commitment, dedication, integrity, and teamwork are hallmarks of my leadership style.
Why Triangle?
I had some knowledge of Triangle from my friendship with Jim Conner. Jim and I worked together for parts of our careers at Granger Construction. Jim introduced me to Craig, and our relationship grew from there. The Triangle values and the people that make up our team are fantastic. I love meeting, learning from, and growing the Triangle Team!
How has your career grown since starting at Triangle?
While still keeping an eye on the financial aspects of our business, Craig asked me to join the Executive Leadership Team and lead the company. It is an incredible honor and privilege to work with the Team to grow Triangle into the future.
Favorite project you’ve worked on?
My favorite project experience so far has been visiting our projects, meeting the teams, and seeing the amazing work being done in the field. It makes us successful and takes care of our customers.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I love family, sports, boating, and Disney.
How did you end up in construction?
After twelve years in public accounting, I was recruited away by a client and joined Granger Construction in Lansing as their Controller. I spent 11 years at Granger Construction and developed a passion for the process and people in this industry.
What’s the last book you read?
Brotherhood of War: the Generals by W.E.B. Griffin
What motivates you?
I focus on making myself, my family, and those around me better. Never do anything halfway. Go all in and get after it, otherwise, don’t waste your time. Hope is not a strategy and anything worth doing is going to cost you something.
What are you working on right now?
I am working on the transition to Triangle President and connecting with its people and enhancing the culture. I am building on Triangle’s history while focusing on future growth and development.
Nickname?
“Cebe” which is short for my last name, Cebelak.
Hidden talents?
